Location: Al- Aflaj , Saudi Arabia
Project Scope: Full Turnkey Climate, Feeding, and Nesting Integration
The Challenge
Breeder farms in Saudi Arabia face the extreme challenge of high desert temperatures (often exceeding 48°C) and very low humidity. For breeders, heat stress doesn’t just affect growth—it leads to poor eggshell quality, decreased fertility in males, and a significant drop in hatchability. The client needed a system that could guarantee a “spring-like” climate 365 days a year to protect their high-value genetic stock.
Our Solution: The “Total Control” Environment
Leveraging our presence in Saudi Arabia through our local specialized entities, we implemented a custom-engineered solution:
- Tunnel Cooling & High-Insulation Integration: We installed high-efficiency evaporative cooling pads with a high-velocity fan configuration. This created a consistent wind-chill effect, keeping the house temperature at a steady 22-24°C even during the peak of summer.
- Precision Breeder Feeding: We installed specialized Male and Female feeding lines. This ensures that roosters and hens receive different nutritional intake, which is critical for maintaining optimal body weight and high fertility rates.
- Climate-Synchronized Lighting: Using our flicker-free LED systems, we programmed specific “Light Programs” to stimulate egg-laying cycles, simulating natural day-length changes with precision dimming.
- Biosecurity-First Ventilation: To protect the birds from avian diseases, we installed high-pressure filtration on all air inlets, ensuring the air entering the house was clean and dust-free.
The Result
- Fertility & Hatchability: The farm maintained a 90%+ hatchability rate throughout the hottest months of the year.
- Uniformity: 95% flock uniformity was achieved due to the precision of the automated feeding and drinking systems.
